ADRIAN LaPEYRONNIE BIOGRAPHY

Attorney Adrian LaPeyronnieAdrian LaPeyronnie has practiced law throughout the state of Louisiana since 1984, with a majority of his practice occurring in the courts located in southeast Louisiana. He has tried many and varied types of civil cases before both judge and jury, also representing his clients before the appellate courts.


Mr. LaPeyronnie’s experience includes the handing of personal injury and casualty cases, both for the plaintiff and the defendant, as well as his representation of businesses and various governmental entities. 



Professional History


Prior to his admission to the practice of law in Louisiana, Mr. LaPeyronnie served as an aide to the Jefferson Parish legislative delegation in the Louisiana legislature. Upon graduation from law school in 1984, he began his practice of law and his travels throughout Louisiana by preparing title abstracts for oil and gas exploration sites in the Acadia parishes and as a landman in obtaining mineral leases.

Mr. LaPeyronnie continued in his practice by becoming an assistant district attorney in Jefferson Parish while simultaneously engaging in a private practice in civil law in one of the largest defense firms in Metairie, Louisiana. At the request of this law firm in 1990, Mr. LaPeyronnie associated on a full time basis through 1998. During this association, he represented various insurance companies in the defense of automotive and other casualty cases; the Louisiana Department of Insurance in the conservatorship, rehabilitation and liquidation of insurance companies; and as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the state of Louisiana.  Mr. LaPeyronnie has also represented clients in hearing before various state agencies.
 
Currently, Mr. LaPeyronnie continues to serve as counsel for the Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commisison and as defense counsel for a local municipality.  In addition, he has successfully represented and continues to represent individuals in personal injury cases and businesses in commercial litigation.



Education and Qualifications


Mr. LaPeyronnie is a graduate of Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he majored in Business Administration - Pre-Law. He is a 1984 graduate of Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Jefferson Bar Association and the Covington Bar Association.

Mr. LaPeyronnie is admitted to practice in all courts in Louisiana including the Federal Courts in the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also admitted to practice in the state of Texas and the United States Supreme Court.

 Mr. LaPeyronnie is rated “AV” by Martindale Hubbell, which is one of the oldest and most respected peer-review publications in the legal profession. This rating is the highest possible peer review rating.

 Mr. LaPeyronnie is a native of Gretna, Louisiana and currently lives in Madisonville, Louisiana. He and his wife Susan, have two children, Alexandra (Ali) and Adrian IV.
